Summary

A bit predictable but still had a twist I didn’t see coming。 Hard to stop listening!

Ann

I did not expect the twist!!!

I found the beginning suspenseful and interesting, but as the story developed it seemed far fetched and unbelievable!

3 stars just because I felt that their was a little too much going on in the story。 Yes there were a lot of twists for sure。 My first Mary Kubica read, will definitely try her others。

DNFed halfway through。 Unlikeable characters with unrealistic situations。

I had a part of the story figured out by part way through, but was still very shocked by the ending。 Mary Kubica does not disappoint and I love her writing style!

Boring, dull, predictable, uniteresting, unrealistic, undeveloped, unimaginative。 Need i say more?

Fun to follow and figure out where this one was going。

MB takes the standard trope and then adds a twist to it that you don't see coming。 This is my favorite of hers so far。 You go from being frustrated that the main character is making such nonsense choices, to totally understanding it。 This one has left me creeped out ever since I finished。 MB takes the standard trope and then adds a twist to it that you don't see coming。 This is my favorite of hers so far。 You go from being frustrated that the main character is making such nonsense choices, to totally understanding it。 This one has left me creeped out ever since I finished。 。。。more

~ Audiobook ~This was a great story… however, I was able to predict all of the twists and turns。 An easy listen with a story and characters that pulled me in。

I figured out one of the main plot elements very quickly, but was still intrigued with how it would play out and surprised by a final twist。

I am unsure if I have read this (although I highly doubt it) or something like it。 I didn’t think the twists were surprisingly it was pretty laid out midway。 It is a entertaining read but it has been done before。 Very neutral opinion due to the plot。

No, no, and nope。 I really liked Local Woman Missing so I decided to give the author another try。 This one was terrible。 Idk if it was because I was listening to it while I was working around the house and maybe my attention wandered occasionally, but this was just not good。 I get that sometimes an unreliable narrator is interesting but there was just not enough information to make this make sense。 The ‘resolution’ would have been one thing but then there was one more final twist at the end that No, no, and nope。 I really liked Local Woman Missing so I decided to give the author another try。 This one was terrible。 Idk if it was because I was listening to it while I was working around the house and maybe my attention wandered occasionally, but this was just not good。 I get that sometimes an unreliable narrator is interesting but there was just not enough information to make this make sense。 The ‘resolution’ would have been one thing but then there was one more final twist at the end that just made me roll my eyes。 Nothing worked in this book for me。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 It was okay definitely kept my attention but using a mental health illness as a plot device was disappointing。 I kept hoping no way are they going to take this Dr who is a trained physician and give her multiple personality disorder but yet that is exactly what they did。 You would think she would have figured it out。

Meh。 The main character was just so miserable the entire time, and the intrigue of the story never overcame her deficits as a protagonist。 Like others mention, it's pretty easy to predict the twists before the half way point。 With the mystery solved and characters you don't like, it was a chore to finish。 Meh。 The main character was just so miserable the entire time, and the intrigue of the story never overcame her deficits as a protagonist。 Like others mention, it's pretty easy to predict the twists before the half way point。 With the mystery solved and characters you don't like, it was a chore to finish。 。。。more

#TheOtherMrs by #MaryKubica, narrated by #PiperGoodeve and #JeremyArthur, is the beautiful love story of Will and Sadie Faust。 At least, that's the way it begins。 Very quickly, it becomes clear that something isn't quiet right。 Sadie and Will have moved to an island off the coast of Maine。 They are there because Will's sister, Alice, has committed suicide。 Will and Sadie, unbeknownst to them, are now the owners of Alice's house in Maine and guardians to her sixteen year old daughter Imogen。The m #TheOtherMrs by #MaryKubica, narrated by #PiperGoodeve and #JeremyArthur, is the beautiful love story of Will and Sadie Faust。 At least, that's the way it begins。 Very quickly, it becomes clear that something isn't quiet right。 Sadie and Will have moved to an island off the coast of Maine。 They are there because Will's sister, Alice, has committed suicide。 Will and Sadie, unbeknownst to them, are now the owners of Alice's house in Maine and guardians to her sixteen year old daughter Imogen。The move wasn't a hard decision。 Things had gotten difficult for them in Chiacgo。 Sadie, the family's breadwinner as an ER physician, had recently been through some things at work that left her with the only available options to resign or be fired and possibly lose her license。The story unfolds with the family, Will, Sadie, Otto, and Tate, moving into the home they have inherited to find a very unhappy Imogen。Things take a turn toward darkness as things begin to happen that Sadie seems to have no memory of。 On top of that, Imogen seems to hate them all。 Then, a neighbor is murdered。Trying to figure out what's going on, Sadie can't remember things other people seem to think she should。 What's happening to her? Is it something Imogen is doing? Is Sadie losing her mind? What will happen is a ride everyone should take。 It starts a little slow, but sit back and enjoy it because it's about to turn into one hell of a ride!#HappyReading 。。。more

I just found this to be boring。 I couldn’t really get into it。 It was not the worst novel in the world but just was not exciting。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Contains spoilers!!!!This was just ok, kept me reading but mainly just so I could finish it。 I’m not a fan of movies and books with characters that have split personalities。 If it’s all you have to read, then go for it, but I wouldn’t recommend it。

I really don't like when this type of twist happens in thrillers。 Too predictable and feels kinda cheap to rely on mental illness to explain things。 Two stars because it was well written and kept my attention even though I didn't like where the story went。 I really don't like when this type of twist happens in thrillers。 Too predictable and feels kinda cheap to rely on mental illness to explain things。 Two stars because it was well written and kept my attention even though I didn't like where the story went。 。。。more

3。5。 I really enjoy this author’s style of writing。 I like her twists。 Sadie and Will have 2 boys。 They moved from Chicago to Maine after Will’s sister died; leaving Will with a house and his 16 year old niece。 A murder occurs in the neighborhood shortly after moving to Maine which starts the unraveling of trying to solve the murder and the exposure of truths and lies。
